Job summary

ABB is seeking a leader to run day-to-day service activities within the Data Center Services Center of Excellence in the United States. The role reports to the Director and focuses on delivering high-quality field service execution and surge-capable leadership for the data center segment.

The position is remote within the U.S., with a preference for candidates in Western or Mountain Time Zones, and requires up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of data center start-up, commissioning, and field service personnel development.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Google suite, SAP and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Understanding of power delivery equipment and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Implements field service strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Improves service availability, quality, and customer experience across field operations.
• Drives KPI-based performance management and continuous improvement.
• Oversees surge team onboarding, training, and timesheet validation.
• Leads resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE and ABB Way.
• Collaborates with ABB teams to assign personnel and support project execution.
