Job summary

ABB in the United States seeks a leader for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence to drive day-to-day service delivery across the Data Center segment. You will oversee surge team operations, coordinate with account teams, and ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role is remote within the US with a preference for the Western/Mountain time zones. You will report to the Director, Data Center Services Center of Excellence and contribute to the ELSE Data Center Services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in engineering or business.
• Knowledge of Data Center start-up, commissioning, and field service personnel development.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive/Slides, SAP, and project issue resolution tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment (transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays).
• Commitment to safety, environmental regulations, and ABB Way standards.
• Travel willingness up to 50% of time.
• Eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Improve service availability, quality, and customer experience across field service operations.
• Develop, implement, and review field service strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Ensure customer focus, urgency, and care in service interactions to drive retention.
• Drive continuous improvement, first-time-right execution, and KPI-based management.
• Identify onsite opportunities to enhance customer operations and communicate them to account teams.
• Lead a culture of operational excellence, risk management, and end-to-end service delivery.
• Manage resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE standards and ABB Way.
• Oversee Surge Team operations including onboarding, training, and validation of timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provide leadership and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• Collaborate with ABB teams to allocate personnel and support projects.
