Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States, Ohio (New Albany) seeks a senior leader to direct data center operations across multiple facilities.

You will oversee area and facility managers, drive operational excellence, and ensure 100% service uptime while interfacing with global teams. The role requires deep experience in mission-critical infrastructure, LEAN/Six Sigma, and managing geographically dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical work related to computer systems and technology components.
• 7+ years management experience in operations, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
• 3+ years implementing LEAN/6 Sigma methodology (DMAIC/DVADV, 5 Whys, Root Cause analysis, etc.).
• 3+ Years of experience in working with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including facility managers and engineers.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyses, and reports on critical facility operations.
• Oversee 24x7 shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors per established procedures.
• Lead capacity planning and energy efficiency initiatives across data centers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (real estate, engineering, construction) for staffing and project delivery.
• Manage safety, security, incident response, and incident resolution processes.
