Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in New Carlisle, Indiana seeks a Cluster Operations Leader to oversee data center clusters and colocation operations. You will lead a senior infrastructure operations team across DCO and DCEO, driving safety, reliability, and cost efficiency in a rapidly expanding cloud environment.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and compute systems, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex operational improvements at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years in Data Centers operations, facility engineering operations, IT critical environments or similar.
• Proven ability to hire, develop and manage high-performing geographically distributed technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, and develop the operations team, including compute and engineering operations managers and their teams.
• Achieve organizational performance goals for safety, security, availability, scaling, efficiency, and cost.
• Plan and execute Infrastructure Operations for new Data Centers and Colocation expansions.
• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in Data Centers, including preventive and corrective maintenance and change management.
• Manage Colocation Data Centers service providers to meet or exceed SLAs.
• Lead safety, security, and availability incident response and resolution.
• Improve operational processes, methods, and tools continuously.
