Job summary

SimVentions, Inc in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support Navy Reserve data systems, data management, and data-driven decision making. The role focuses on managing enterprise data pipelines, governance, and VAULTIS-compliant analytics in a secure environment.

On-site daily at the Virginia Beach office, candidates must have an active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and be prepared for 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with software coding in JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the NR and for data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
