SimVentions, Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks an experienced Database Administrator to join our team, supporting Navy Reserve data systems and data-driven decision making.

This on-site role requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance and US Citizenship. You will manage enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance to ensure VAULTIS-compliant data is Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, Trustworthy, Interoperable, and Secure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with software coding in Java Script and SQL
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter

Responsibilities

• analysis, compilation, and implementation of contemporary industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the NR and for data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance to ensure enterprise data is Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, Trustworthy, Interoperable, and Secure (VAULTIS).
• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
