Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is hiring a Database Administrator to join our Virginia Beach team on-site. The role supports Navy Reserve missions and requires an active Secret Clearance and US citizenship. You will work with Python, SQL, JavaScript, and NR/Advana/Jupyter data systems to manage enterprise data pipelines and governance.

The projected annual compensation ranges from $73,300 to $109,500 (USD). SimVentions offers ESOP, 401(k), continuing education, PTO, and other family-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
