Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks an experienced Database Administrator to support Navy Reserve data systems and data-driven decision making. This on-site role requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance and US citizenship.

You will work with Python, PySpark, SQL, JavaScript and related tools to manage enterprise data pipelines, governance, and VAULTIS-inspired data stewardship. Compensation ranges from $73,300 to $109,500 per year, with ESOP and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
