Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers focused on Data 360, Salesforce’s real-time data engine that unifies data from any source. You will configure, build, test, and deploy Data 360 directly inside customer environments, turning designs into working implementations across ingestion, harmonization, identity, insights, and activation.

You’ll build data pipelines, implement RAG and vector databases, and design secure, scalable integration patterns with MCP protocols, working alongside

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud) or a comparable enterprise data platform.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and integrations using at least one enterprise data platform.
• Proficient in SQL and able to build multi-table queries, joins, and transformations.
• Fluent in Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript; willingness to learn others.

Responsibilities

• Build in customer environments; configure and develop in sandboxes and production.
• Engineer the data layer across ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution.
• Prove it works by creating test data and validating outcomes.
• Ground the agents with RAG, vector databases, and knowledge bases for real-time data.
• Orchestrate agent communication using MCP and agent-to-agent protocols.
• Connect the ecosystem with scalable, secure data integration patterns.
• Govern data across Salesforce ecosystem and external systems.
• Build secure, scalable workflows with OAuth/SAML and proper authorization.
