Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers for Data 360 (Data Cloud) to implement real-time data solutions inside enterprise environments. You will configure, build, test, and deploy Data 360 across ingestion, identity, and activation, working with architects and customer teams.

You will write SQL, Python, and Apex; shape ingestion pipelines, ensure security, and deliver scalable data solutions with a hands-on implementation mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud) or a comparable enterprise data platform across ingestion, modeling, identity, insight, activation, and operations.
• Experience building data pipelines using an enterprise data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, or similar.
• Proficiency in SQL and multi-table queries; fluent in Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Build in customer environments using Data 360 configuration, SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, REST API, and related tooling.
• Engineer the data layer across ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution; optimize workloads.
• Validate outcomes with representative test data across happy paths and edge cases.
• Ground the agents with RAG, vector databases, and knowledge bases for real-time data grounding.
• Design secure data integration patterns and agent communication protocols (MCP, OAuth/SAML).
• Collaborate with customer teams and partners; hand off deployments with clear ownership.
