What You’ll Do
- Plan, organize and lead specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
- Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
- Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc.
- Manage all equipment.
- Maintain a clean and risk‑free environment.
- Communicate effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
- Ensure all children are picked up by a parent.
- Promote other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
- Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1‑year prior teaching or instructional experience
- Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area
- Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
- Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
