Job summary

The Coatesville YMCA, part of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, is hiring for a part-time youth/Program role. The job centers on planning, organizing and delivering skill-building activities. You’ll lead groups, manage equipment, and communicate with families to ensure safe, engaging sessions.

Qualifications include at least a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of teaching or instructional experience. A range of certifications must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1-year prior teaching or instructional experience.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc
• Manages all equipment.
• Maintains a clean and risk‑free environment.
• Communicates effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
