Job summary

MWI Animal Health, a leading brand of Cencora, is seeking a Dairy Technology Sales Representative to generate sales of MICRO Technologies within an assigned territory. You will call on existing and prospective customers, demonstrate products, and build long-term relationships with dairy practices and associations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years outside sales experience, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 1–3 years outside sales experience; if no degree, minimum 10 years related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills and a proven ability to sell.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout an assigned territory, calling on existing and prospective customers.
• Build long-term relationships with dairy practices, nutritionists, and livestock associations.
• Present and demonstrate new technologies, detailing hardware, software, costs and benefits.
• Quote prices and prepare sales contracts based on target margins.
• Ensure smooth transfer of customer relationship to the appropriate representative.
• Maintain target lists of prospective customers for sales leads.
• Assist with installation and support of technology systems and equipment.
• Act as secondary support to diagnose and improve equipment performance.
• Coordinate training of personnel and participate in sales efforts with Territory Managers.
• Prepare reports on business transactions and sales activities.
