Job summary

MWI Animal Health, a leading unit of Cencora, seeks a Dairy Technology Sales Representative to drive sales of MICRO Technologies in an assigned dairy territory. You will plan calls, educate customers on hardware/software requirements, costs, and performance, and build lasting partnerships with dairy producers, veterinary practices, and industry groups.

You will quote terms, prepare contracts, and ensure smooth handover to customer representatives while maintaining ongoing customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of outside sales experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills and a proven ability to sell.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout an assigned territory, calling on existing and prospective customers, maintaining a current list of 10 best prospects.
• Build long-term mutually beneficial relationships with dairy, veterinary practices, nutritionists, and state livestock associations.
• Present and demonstrate new technologies to customers, detailing hardware/software, costs, performance, updates, and support.
• Quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts for orders.
• Upon account establishment, transfer customer relationship to appropriate representative and make periodic return calls for customer satisfaction.
• Compile and maintain target lists of prospective customers for sales leads from various sources.
• Assist field technicians with installation/repair of technology management systems and equipment installations.
• Act as secondary support to identify and resolve equipment issues and costs.
• Coordinate and assist with training of personnel in using all technology systems and participate in sales efforts with Territory Managers.
• Prepare reports of business transactions including expenses and sales call reporting.
