Job summary

MWI Animal Health, a leading brand of Cencora, seeks a Dairy Technology Sales Representative to generate sales of MICRO Technologies within an assigned territory. You will travel, build relationships with dairy specialists and veterinary practices, and demonstrate new technologies to customers, detailing hardware, software, costs, and support.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years outside sales experience (or 10+ years related), a valid driver’s license, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of outside sales experience, or a minimum of ten years’ related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills and a proven ability to sell.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record; ability to travel overnight up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout an assigned territory, calling on existing and prospective customers.
• Builds long-term mutually beneficial relationships with dairy, veterinary practices, nutritionists, and livestock associations.
• Presents and demonstrates new technologies to customers, detailing hardware, software, costs, performance, savings and support.
• Quotes prices and terms, prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Transfer of customer relationship to appropriate representative after account setup and periodic follow-ups.
• Compile and maintain target lists of prospective customers for sales leads.
• Assist field technicians with installation/repair of technology management systems.
• Act as secondary support for technologies, identify issues, and suggest improvements to reduce service costs.
• Coordinate and assist with training of personnel in technology use; participate in sales efforts to pool customer information.
• Prepare reports of business transactions including expense and sales call reporting.
