Job summary

Technologent, Inc. is seeking an IT Security Pre-Sales Engineer in Orange County, CA. You will work with account executives to identify cybersecurity needs, develop solution architectures, and support opportunities from qualification through close.

You will lead discovery, architecture discussions, and POC activities, translating business and security requirements into practical deployments. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise technology sales and working directly with Account Executives and customers.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity architecture, technologies, and operational practices.
• Strong understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, network security, cloud security, vulnerability management, and data protection.
• Experience leading customer discovery and translating business and security requirements into technical architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to identify customer initiatives, requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead customer discovery, workshops and architecture discussions; translate needs into solution recommendations.
• Engage stakeholders from security engineering through IT leadership; communicate technical concepts and business value clearly.
• Support demonstrations, workshops, RFP/RFI responses, and security questionnaires; address objections.
• Design scalable security architectures across SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, Zero Trust, cloud, and data protection.
