Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager I to design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and monitoring tools. You will lead risk assessments, incident response, and digital forensics, while developing security controls and reporting to executives. The role requires 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

security clearance. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows server systems and large-scale deployments.
• Familiarity with NISPOM, RMF, JSIG and NIST RMF.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Security Engineering team, including hiring, performance management, and career growth planning.
• Set team priorities, workload, and resourcing to align with the enterprise security architecture roadmap and milestones.
• Own the team’s technical standards and quality bar for secure design, testing, and implementation of operating systems, networks, and security monitoring tools.
• Translate architecture strategy into actionable engineering plans, ensuring designs are implementable and sound.
• Direct risk and vulnerability assessment programs across network, system, and application layers.
• Develop and enforce security controls and operational risk mitigations, and track their effectiveness.
