Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Colorado (Englewood) is seeking a Systems Security Manager II to lead the information security program, shape policies, and manage a larger security team under the Systems Security Director. You will drive key security initiatives across ISR, aviation, and C4ISR domains, ensure compliance with NIST RMF and DoD requirements, and report security metrics to executives.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in IT security, strong leadership, and relevant certifications;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
• 9+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
• Experience with A&A requirements per NISPOM, RMF, JSIG & NIST RMF.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive information security policies.
• Manage a larger, more diverse systems security team.
• Oversee and coordinate complex security projects.
• Conduct advanced risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Monitor and respond to sophisticated security incidents.
• Mentor and develop junior security managers and staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security integration.
• Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge security technologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Report on security metrics and incidents to executive management.
