Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager I to design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and monitoring tools. You will manage risk assessments, incident response, and digital forensics while developing and enforcing security controls across IT environments.

You will lead a Security Engineering team, collaborate with the Enterprise Security Architect, and report security posture to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a related area; experience can substitute for the degree.
• If no degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience required.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and network architectures.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics.
• Knowledge of standards for systems security including RMF/NISPOM/JSIG/NIST RMF.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Security Engineering team with hiring and performance management.
• Set team priorities aligned with security architecture roadmap and milestones.
• Own technical standards for secure design, testing, and implementation of OS, networks, and monitoring tools.
• Partner with Enterprise Security Architect to translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Oversee design reviews and secure-by-design practices across infra, network, and apps.
• Direct evaluation, deployment, and lifecycle management of security tools.
• Direct risk and vulnerability assessment programs across layers; prioritize findings.
• Develop and enforce security controls and risk mitigations; track effectiveness.
• Liaise between Security Engineering and Enterprise Security Architect and senior leadership.
• Communicate risk posture and program status to senior leadership in business terms.
