Sierra Nevada Corporation in Sparks, NV is seeking an Engineering Manager I - Software Development to lead the engineering, deployment, and sustainment of cloud-based cybersecurity platforms. You will mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers and solution architects, ensure secure, scalable implementations, and partner with architecture, operations, and security stakeholders to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or engineering field.
• 6+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience.
• Experience with large-scale software development and cloud architectures.
• Strong understanding of secure development practices and lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies.
• Ability to mentor and grow engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement secure OS, networks, and security monitoring tools.
• Lead engineering execution including CI/CD, container orchestration, and code quality oversight.
• Manage and develop a team of cybersecurity engineers and solution architects.
• Collaborate with architecture, operations, and security stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable implementations.
• Provide career path support, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
