Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager I to design, test, and implement secure OS, networks, and monitoring tools. You will lead risk assessments, incident response, and digital forensics while developing and enforcing security controls across IT landscapes.

You’ll partner with senior leaders to embed security requirements into project lifecycles, communicate risk in business terms, and mentor a Security Engineering team to meet enterprise architecture roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, IT or related engineering field.
• 7+ years in a related area; higher degree may substitute for experience.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Security Engineering team, including hiring and performance management.
• Set priorities and resourcing to align with security roadmap milestones.
• Oversee secure design, testing, and implementation of operating systems, networks, and monitoring tools.
• Partner with Enterprise Security Architect to translate strategy into engineering plans.
• Direct risk, vulnerability, and compliance programs across layers.
• Develop and enforce security controls and track effectiveness over time.
• Communicate risk posture and program status to senior leadership.
