Coalition, Inc. is seeking a broker-facing underwriter to drive profitable business from an assigned group of brokers while partnering with our Sales organization.

You will underwrite, manage products across Coalition’s portfolio, and serve as a trusted partner to brokers and customers. You will help clients understand how to protect their businesses through underwriting expertise, business acumen, and a relationship-first approach.

Formación

• Experience in commercial insurance, account management, or a related broker-facing environment.
• Ability to analyze risks under underwriting and pricing decisions using established policies and authority parameters.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and marketing skills with brokers and clients.
• Growth mindset and learning orientation with comfort taking feedback and expanding technical underwriting knowledge.
• Emerging presentation skills and client presence, especially for larger accounts underwriting environments.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts within authority, aligning to guidelines, risk appetite, and carrier requirements.
• Build and deepen relationships with cyber specialists and sophisticated P&C placing brokers, becoming a trusted underwriting partner.
• Maintain disciplined underwriting files, documentation, and internal tool usage per Coalition workflows and governance.
• Participate in broker and client meetings, handling external presentations, account strategy, and underwriting rationale.
• Handle nuanced coverage, structure, and wording discussions, escalating with CPU and leaders as needed on non-standard issues.
• Partner with Coalition’s security team and other stakeholders to bring technical and portfolio insight into underwriting decisions.
• Contribute feedback on underwriting guidelines, tools, and processes to scale high-quality production underwriting.
• Regular travel required for broker relationship management, client meetings, broker education, and market development.
