Job summary

Coalition is seeking an experienced underwriter to drive profitable business with brokers and support the Sales organization. You will underwrite and manage products, serving as a trusted partner to brokers and clients while advocating for sound risk decisions.

This is a remote role with a preference for candidates in the Northeast, especially New York City. The role emphasizes underwriting expertise, business acumen, and relationship-first collaboration, with regular travel and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Underwrite and manage accounts within authority.
• Build relationships with cyber specialists and brokers.
• Maintain disciplined underwriting files and governance standards.
• Present in broker and client meetings with underwriting rationale.
• Collaborate with security team on decisions and portfolio insights.
• Travel for broker relationship management and market development.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts within authority and guidelines.
• Develop and deepen broker/client relationships.
• Maintain underwriting files and governance in Coalition workflows.
• Participate in broker and client meetings with presentation and rationale.
• Handle complex coverage discussions and coordinate with CPU.
• Provide portfolio insights with security team.
• Contribute to guidelines and tooling improvements for scale.
• Travel regularly for relationship management and market development.
