Job summary

Serco seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer for the CAF DMO 3.0 program in Hampton, VA. You will join a focused team to perform test, integration, and evaluation of M&S systems to support 5th/6th generation training interoperability with the USAF.

The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI/SAP/SAR, a STEM degree with extensive engineering/test experience, and travel up to 10%. You will work with DoD customers and at Langley AFB/Orlando as needed.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI/SAP/SAR.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of engineering experience in test/integration/sw development/embedded systems; or an Associate’s with 7 years of experience.
• Experience supporting DoD customers and knowledge of military training or operational systems.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CySA+, CISSP) or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support simulation system and application integration, evaluation, and interoperability test for DMON and JSE training operations.
• Use industry-standard tools for simulation test and evaluation (Wireshark, CGFs, etc.).
• Analyze network and compute performance (latency, bandwidth, jitter, occupancy).
• Develop and maintain test plans/procedures and draft test reports.
• Develop CONOPS and multiple COAs for deployment of capabilities.
• Contribute to requirements reviews, training ops support, and basic admin tasks.
• Produce defined test procedures and test cases under senior guidance.
• Support Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, X-Ray).
• Participate in peer reviews, test bed maintenance, and debugging activities.
• Write scripts/programs (PowerShell, Cygwin, VBScript) to accelerate artifacts and tasks.
• Identify production/non-production issues and implement fixes.
