Job summary

Serco seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer for its CAF DMO 3.0 program in Hampton, VA. You will join a focused team of engineers to test, integrate, and evaluate M&S systems to support 5th and 6th generation training interoperability with the DoD customer and other Serco teams at Langley AFB and Orlando.

This role requires maintaining a DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI/SAP/SAR and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of engineering experience in test, integration, software development, or embedded systems.
• Alternate: Associate’s degree with 7 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience supporting DoD customers in a technical capacity.
• Familiarity with DoD training or military system development, test, and integration.
• Must have or obtain DoD 8140 IAT Level II (Security+, CySA+, CISSP) within six months.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support simulation system and application integration, evaluation, and interoperability testing for DMON and JSE training operations.
• Use industry tools for simulation test and evaluation (Wireshark, CGFs, etc.).
• Analyze network and system performance metrics (latency, bandwidth, jitter, occupancy).
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures; drive test activities.
• Draft comprehensive test reports from integration and verification tasks.
• Develop CONOPS and COAs for deployment of simulated capabilities.
• Assist in requirements review, training support, and basic system administration.
• Produce clear test procedures and test cases under senior guidance.
• Support project processes using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, X-Ray).
• Participate in peer reviews, test bed maintenance, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Write scripts and programs (PowerShell, Cygwin, VB) to improve test artifact creation and execution.
• Identify production/non-production issues and implement effective solutions.
