Job summary

Serco seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer for its CAF DMO 3.0 program. The role focuses on test, integration, and evaluation of simulation systems to support 5th/6th generation training interoperability in a DoD environment.

You will collaborate with DoD customers and Serco teams at Langley AFB and Orlando, performing detailed test analyses, developing CONOPS, and producing comprehensive reports while working within a Sec+/CySA+ or higher certification path and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 5 years engineering experience in test, integration, SW development, or embedded systems.
• Or an Associate’s degree and 7 years engineering experience in test, integration, SW development, or embedded systems.
• Experience supporting DoD customers and personnel in a technical capacity.
• Familiarity with development, test and evaluation of military training or operational systems.
• Must obtain DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher within six months.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support simulation system and application integration, evaluation, and interoperability testing for DMON/JSE training operations.
• Use industry-standard tools for simulation test and evaluation (Wireshark, CGFs).
• Analyze network and system performance (latency, bandwidth, jitter).
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures; document and drive test activities.
• Draft comprehensive test reports based on integration, test, evaluation tasks.
• Contribute to CONOPS and multiple COAs for deployment of validated capabilities.
• Assist in requirements reviews, training support, and basic system administration functions.
• Produce concise test procedures and test cases under senior guidance.
• Support program processes using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, X-Ray).
• Participate in peer reviews, test bed maintenance, and debugging activities.
• Write scripts and support applications (PowerShell, Cygwin, VB) to improve test artifact creation.
• Identify production/non-production issues and implement solutions.
