Job summary

Serco Inc. in Hampton, VA seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer for the CAF DMO 3.0 program.

You will join a focused team to test, integrate, and evaluate M&S systems and applications to support 5th/6th generation training interoperability with the DoD customer and other Serco teams. The role requires active DoD clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR, a STEM degree with experience in test/integration or embedded systems, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years of engineering/test experience
• Or an Associate’s degree with 7 years of engineering/test experience
• Experience supporting DoD customers in a technical capacity
• Familiarity with DoD training/operational systems and security certifications

Responsibilities

• Support simulation system integration, evaluation, and interoperability testing
• Use tools like Wireshark for protocol analysis and CGF/GFE systems
• Analyze network performance metrics (latency, bandwidth, jitter)
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures
• Draft comprehensive test reports documenting integration activities
• Contribute to CONOPS and multiple COAs for deployment of simulations
• Produce concise test procedures and test cases under senior guidance
• Use Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, X-Ray) for project tracking
• Peer reviews, test bed maintenance, and troubleshooting activities
• Write and maintain scripts/programs (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to improve test artifact creation
