Job summary

Serco seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer for the CAF DMO 3.0 program in Hampton, VA. You will join a focused team performing test, integration, and evaluation of M&S systems to support DoD training interoperability across global teams.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance (with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR), a STEM degree with years of experience in testing and integration, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years engineering experience in test, integration, software development, or embedded systems.
• Or an Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with DoD customers or military training/operational systems is preferred.
• Must have or obtain within six months, DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CySA+, CISSP).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support simulation system and application integration, evaluation, and interoperability testing for DMON and JSE operations.
• Use industry tools like Wireshark and CGFs to test and evaluate simulations.
• Analyze network and compute performance (latency, bandwidth, jitter, occupancy).
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures; draft comprehensive test reports.
• Assist in CONOPS and COA development for deployment of simulated capabilities.
• Contribute to requirements reviews, training support, and basic sysadmin functions.
• Produce concise test procedures and test cases under senior guidance.
• Support team processes using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, X-Ray).
• Participate in peer reviews, test bed maintenance, programming, testing, debugging.
• Write and maintain scripts/programs (PowerShell, Cygwin, VB) to improve artifact creation and execution.
