Job summary

Meriplex in Texas seeks a security-focused analyst to monitor incoming tickets, troubleshoot security applications, and assist with configurations, investigations, and incident identification. You will ensure traceability for audits and generate triage records.

The role requires strong customer service skills, understanding of data flow, scripting familiarity, and knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux. Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required; prior sysadmin or network infra exposure is helpful.

Qualifications

• Notify customers of incoming tickets and workflow blockers.
• Handle security configurations, reporting requests, investigations and error identification.
• Maintain records of triage activities, shift reports and incident summaries for audits.
• Troubleshoot security applications and appliances.
• Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to requirements.
• Interpret information collected by security tools.
• Understand how information flows through systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiar with proxy and web content filtering tools.
• Basic programming skills are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus but not required.
• Familiar with scripting languages (bash, PowerShell, Python, KQL).
• Knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux OS.
• Experience in system administration and/or network infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Notify customers of relevant incoming tickets and issues that will block workflow.
• Handle customer requests including security configurations and investigations.
• Maintain accurate triage records, generate shift reports, and contribute to incident summaries.
• Provide troubleshooting of security applications and appliances.
• Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
