Advocate Health is hiring a surgical technologist in Charlotte, NC to support sterile technique and rapid turnover in the operating room. The role requires 5+ years in the OR and NBSTSA/NCCT certification, with strong teamwork and documentation skills.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, supplies management, and assisting the RN circulator during complex procedures across neurosurgery, spine, vascular, and robotics. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a 36-hour week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or military Surgical Technology/OR Specialist program.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• 5 years total operating room experience in a surgical technologist role.
• Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.
• Knowledge of growth and development with age-appropriate considerations.

Responsabilités

• Possesses knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments during surgical procedures.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, supplies, and room turnover.
• Participates in procedures across neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho, and robotics.
• Monitors sterility, documents charges, and ensures proper use of supplies.
• Attends in-services and contributes to performance improvement activities.
• Assists in policy development and serves as a clinical resource to others.
• Supports unit projects and oversees service lines as needed.
