Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist in Charlotte, NC for a full-time, benefits-eligible role with day shifts. The selected candidate will assist in aseptic technique, prepare patients and supplies, and support room turnover in a hospital operating room setting.

Responsibilities include ensuring sterility, documenting charges, and participating in ongoing education and policy development. Minimum education includes a surgical technology program with BLS certification; CVOR

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or completion of military training as Surgical Technology/Operating Room Specialist.
• 2 years CVOR operating room experience in a surgical technologist role required (effective 5/26/2019).
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies and instruments; supports room turnover.
• Monitors sterility of surgical supplies and documents charges accurately.
• Attends in-services and participates in Performance Improvement processes.
• Supports development of policies and standards and may serve as a clinical resource or preceptor.
