Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced surgical technologist to support neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex orthopedics, and robotics cases. You will assist the RN circulator, prepare instruments, ensure sterility, and participate in room turnover.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and 5 years of OR experience with 2 years in specialized fields. BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military training.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• 5 years of OR experience with 2 years in specialized areas such as neurosurgery/spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prep of patient and room, assemble supplies, and care for specimens.
• Support RN circulator and manage room turnover and equipment.
• Monitor sterility of supplies and document usage and charges.
• Participate in department education, policy development, and performance improvement.
