Job summary

GEODIS Account Representative – Customs Brokerage in Carson, CA handles customer liaison and entry processing for US customs. The role involves file management in Cargowise/AS400, HTS classification, and coordinating with carriers and government agencies.

The position requires 3+ years in customs brokerage, strong communication, planning skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. On-site role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Strong planning and organizational abilities are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the customer service liaison between the Company and the customer.
• Processes Customs and OGA entries for clearance of goods into the United States.
• Opens files, enters notes, information and document requests in Cargowise and/or AS400 system.
• Classifies invoice based on HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule).
• Sends information/document requests to company employees, suppliers, service providers and/or U.S. Government agencies as needed.
• Communicates with specified offices, departments, and teams on issues affecting customs brokerage.
• Coordinates shipping details with U.S. Forwarders, Steamship Lines, Airlines, Agents, etc.
