Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an Account Representative - Customs Brokerage in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role focuses on serving as the customer service liaison, processing US customs entries, and coordinating with forwarders and government agencies to ensure compliant, timely clearance of goods.

Minimum 3 years in customs brokerage and proficiency with HTS, Cargowise, and Microsoft Office are required. Employers offer a variety of shifts and a collaborative work environment within a global logistics

Responsibilities

Serves as the customer service liaison between the Company and the customer.
Processes Custom and OGA entries for clearance of goods into the United States.
Opens files and enters notes in Cargowise and AS400 systems.
Classifies invoices based on HTS.
Coordinate with offices, departments, and third parties on customs brokerage issues.
Ensure compliance with U.S. government regulatory agencies.
Coordinate shipments with forwarders, lines, and agents.
Maintain communication with customers, carriers, and vendors.
