Custom Building Products is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Logan Township, NJ. You will manage high-volume calls and emails about orders, pricing, and product information, and perform order-entry tasks across multiple channels.

We are looking for a highly motivated Customer Service Representative in the Logan Township, NJ. In this role you will have continuous customer contact in a busy, high-volume work environment. You will handle internal and external customer and distribution calls and emails regarding customer orders, order inquiries, pricing, and general product information. You will also perform order-entry activities to process a high volume of incoming customer orders received via phone, fax, email, and mail, and will have frequent contact with manufacturing and logistics personnel regarding order shipping details and product availability. You may also deal with customer complaints and will need to have empathy for the customer’s situation.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• High-volume call center with internal and external customers.
• Order entry and order inquires.
• Frequent contact with manufacturing and logistics personnel regarding order shipping details.
• Contact with internal sales department for customer needs/procedures.
• Customer complaints.

About You

We Require:

• Minimum two years’ experience in an ACD-equipped call center preferred. Comprehensive customer-service experience and training in handling difficult customers, in problem-solving skills, and in professional listening and fact-finding techniques must all be demonstrated. Must perform the required job duties accurately and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills are essential, as well as the abilities to learn quickly, to prioritize work and to be a self-starter in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute required. Personal computer experience with word processing and spreadsheet software desired.
• Effective oral and written communications skills, good math skills, a pleasant, professional, and courteous manner, and excellent interpersonal skills are all required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
