Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage inbound calls under close supervision. You will respond to product inquiries, provide quotes, enter orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in, and collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.

This role requires reliability, strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task while supporting inventory control and timely order

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale/purchase prices within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determine most cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and prepare shipments; handle returns as needed.
