Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, a global industrial distributor founded in 1923, is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Mount Pleasant. You will assist customers by phone and in person, clarify needs, research, and, after you get up to speed, recommend parts to solve their problems.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone and written skills, including English grammar.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and Google search.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP / ERP experience preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics is a plus.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, multitask, sense of humor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify their needs, do research, and (after you get up to speed) recommend parts.
• Be focused and driven to meet / exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service.
