Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers by phone and in person, clarifying needs and recommending parts. You will research and resolve inquiries while building ongoing relationships with customers, often solving cost-critical problems.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, base pay plus incentives, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a clear growth path toward sales or management within a global industrial leader.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone and written skills, including English grammar.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP/ERP experience, preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify needs, do research, and, after getting up to speed, recommend parts.
• Meet/exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service.
