Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of related experience or training
• Customer service experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication; organized with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Portraying a positive company image and engaging in professional communications with customers
• Answers phones, transfers calls and takes messages
• Processing orders by mail, telephone, fax, email, or other employees
• Actively listening to customer needs to determine appropriate service actions
• Assisting colleagues with administrative duties
• Referring product questions to the appropriate person
• Performing accurate recordkeeping
• Resolving customer issues or directing to the appropriate person
• Informing customers of prices, shipping dates, delays and other information
• Following up on orders to ensure delivery by dates
• Performing other duties as assigned
