Job summary

Midwest Foods, a women-owned Chicago-based distributor, is seeking a Customer Service professional to support our growing restaurant, hospitality, retail, and wholesale client base in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

You will handle a high volume of calls, receive orders by phone, email, fax, and online, and enter them accurately to keep orders moving smoothly. A detail-oriented team player with strong communication will excel here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• 3 years of customer service or hospitality experience required; food distribution a plus.
• Strong phone presence and active listening.
• Detail-oriented with data-entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of incoming calls and inquiries.
• Enter orders via phone, email, fax, and online systems accurately.
• Identify customer needs and provide timely solutions.
• Build sustainable relationships with customer accounts and maintain trust.
• Handle complaints and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Process invoicing for the shipping team and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure orders are accurate and on time.
• Balance multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
