S&W Wholesale Foods, LLC is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Hammond location. The role interfaces with customers in person, by phone, and via email, building positive relations and coordinating with internal teams to fulfill requests promptly.

You will handle inquiries, process orders, and support colleagues with administrative tasks while maintaining professional communication and accurate records. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

S&W Wholesale Foods is Louisiana’s leading independent food service supplier and is on the Move. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Hammond location! The Customer Service Representative is responsible for interfacing with customers in both in-person, phone and e-mail interactions. The Customer Service Representative develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.

What you’ll do:

• Portraying a positive company image and engaging in professional and friendly communications with customers
• Answers phones, transfers call and takes messages
• Processing orders by mail, telephone, fax, email, or other employees
• Actively listening to customer needs and inquiries to determine appropriate service actions
• Assisting colleagues and other employees with administrative duties
• Referring any customer questions regarding products or services to the appropriate person
• Performing accurate company-required recordkeeping
• Resolving customer issues to the best of your abilities or directing them to appropriate person to handle their issue.
• Informing customers of prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer.
• Following-up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Customer Service Experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
