Job summary

Motion Industries in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and fully met. You will handle quotes, order entry, and basic pricing decisions to support profitability.

With responsibilities including order placement via multiple channels, maintaining inventory levels, and assisting less experienced reps, you will help build repeat business through strong customer relationships and effective problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Basic product knowledge and strong negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in.
• Influences gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within defined parameters.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and supports process improvements.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels by ordering items as needed for customers.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• May handle returns and support specific customer(s).
• Assists less experienced Customer Service Representatives with addressing customer needs and resolving problems.
