Job summary

Motion Industries in West Chicago, IL is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to ensure customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met. Under general supervision, you may guide less experienced representatives or support specific customers.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, quotes, order entry, negotiating pricing within approved parameters, maintaining inventory, and coordinating shipping to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and three to five years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
• Ability to multi-task and time management skills required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Basic product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry. May handle more challenging inquiries as experience grows.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through negotiating sale and purchase prices within approved parameters.
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer needs while maximizing MI profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improves processes.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels by ordering items as needed.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per PO without approval.
