Job summary

Belcan is seeking an Associate Customer Service Rep I in Lafayette, IN for a 12-month contract (temp to perm). The role handles customer inquiries by phone or email, aims to resolve problems, and may require basic automotive paint exposure as a value-add for higher pay.

First shift hours, with typical MS Office duties. Ideal candidates have 0-3 years of customer-facing experience and are comfortable with Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years experience for Level I.
• Responds to customer inquiries via telephone or email to provide problem resolution per service standards.
• Entry level performs similar duties with more supervision and oversight.
• Entry level will typically handle basic, routine calls as they gain experience with products and services.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and proficient in Microsoft Office required; automotive paint experience is a plus and may affect pay.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues per standard procedures.

• Provide problem resolution and coordinate with service and technical departments.
• Report to the Customer Service Manager on progress and issues.

Job Title: Associate Customer Service Rep I

Location: Lafayette, IN 47903

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Temp to Perm)

Pay Rate: $24/hr.

Shift Time: 1st shift, 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

• Level I: 0-3 years.
• Responds to customer inquiries via telephone or email to provide problem resolution in accordance with the Organization's service standards.
• The Entry level Customer Service Representative will perform many of the same duties as the experienced level but will have more direct supervision and oversight.
• The Entry level will typically only receive and/or place telephone calls that are basic and routine as they gain experience with the company's products and services.
• Solve simple customer problems and analyze customer service needs for communication to service and technical departments.
• Frequently reports to the Customer Service Manager.
• Experience in customer-facing roles previously, Microsoft Office application skills are a must.
• Particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Any automotive paint experience is going to be a plus and will drive a higher hourly rate.
• Responsibilities will include inventory management, customer interaction, cross-functional internal interaction, project support, problem resolution support, etc.
