Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at a customer location, purchasing products and materials that meet our standards of price, quality, timing, and supply reliability. You will support procurement activities and ensure exceptional service to our customers.

You will research vendors, place orders, monitor delivery, resolve issues, and maintain strong supplier relationships while following SOPs and keeping the worksite professional and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn ERP and inventory management applications.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet current and anticipated demand.
• Assess orders to determine action for expediting or de-expediting.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and recommend vendors and items to meet specifications and pricing.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products; coordinate returns or replacements.
• Follow up on purchase orders with vendors and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Resolve account payables nonconformance with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Follow all SOPs and keep the worksite professional and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
