Job summary

Join Vallen as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at a customer location. You will purchase products and materials that meet price, quality, timing, and reliability standards, ensuring exceptional service to our customers.

You will place requisitions and vendor orders, monitor delivery, resolve issues promptly, and uphold Vallen's SOPs in a professional, clean work environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills with ERP and inventory management applications.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to ensure demand for products and materials is met and aligned with purchasing strategies.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and assess vendors or items to meet specifications, pricing, and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products, coordinate returns or replacements if needed.
• Follow up on purchase orders and communicate status to customers.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve problems with timeliness and quality.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Research and resolve accounts payables nonconformance with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings.
• Follow all Vallen SOPs and maintain a professional worksite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
