Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Customer Service Associate in Birmingham, AL. You will welcome customers, help them find products, and ensure their needs are met. You may assist across departments, help with merchandising, and support checkout processes to deliver excellent service.

Prospective team members should be comfortable with standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, and using common retail tech. Training and growth opportunities are available through Lowe's programs.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition/subtraction).
• Able to stand for long periods and perform job duties.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise.
• Stock shelves and replenish supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive items on time.
• Cross-train in other store areas to improve customer service.
• Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., paint, plumbing, wood).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
