Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls. You will respond to basic inquiries, provide quotes, take orders by telephone, fax, email or in person, and work to maximize gross profit within set parameters.

The role emphasizes reliability, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on accurate data entry and teamwork across branches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–3 years of related experience.
• Strong communication, organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Moderate computer skills and use of business systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic product inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via phone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Negotiate pricing within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Ensure inventory levels and sourcing across branch/distribution centers.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods and coordinate with reps.
• Expedite backorders and assist with returns when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
