Job summary

Greatjob’s Saint Paul branch is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to be the primary contact for customers and support day-to-day operations. This role combines customer service with operational tasks to ensure branch efficiency and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of handling quotations, orders, and records in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college; or a high school diploma with two years related experience.
• Preferred experience in industrial distribution.
• Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as a team member.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
• Process customer inquiries, quotations, and orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of customer account requirements and special situations to resolve issues.
• Develop specialized knowledge of products, services, and applications to support customers and sales efforts.
• Utilize and maintain vendor portals as required.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within ERP and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with sales and management to communicate information and drive objectives.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance, support shipment-related issues, and resolve product concerns.
• Proactively follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved to satisfaction.
• Collaborate to develop quotes for products and services.
• Assist with day-to-day branch operations to promote efficiency and customer satisfaction.
