Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates, technical or bachelor's degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Experience with scheduling and diagnostic software preferred.
• Must understand and follow Penske safety and maintenance policies.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily/weekly workforce plans considering customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills to maximize productivity.
• Communicate maintenance updates to customers, including schedule changes and billing concerns.
• Ensure Penske units are maintained and ready for customers; assure parts availability.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and on-time outside work.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as needed.
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
